Phoenix Performing Arts presents Willy Wonka KIDS, a fully immersive theater experience where young performers step into a world of storytelling, music, and creativity. This isn’t just a theater workshop, it’s a junior-scale production with sets, costumes, and lighting, offering students the opportunity to develop their skills in a supportive, high-quality performance environment.

Not sure if theater is for you? Our Audition Workshop is a low-stress, hands-on way to experience the audition process while learning essential performance skills.
Workshop Dates: Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Ages: 5 years old – 10 years old
Location: Phoenix Performing Arts Studio – 263 E. Mill St. Akron, OH 44308
Cost: FREE
This workshop serves as both an audition and an introduction to the world of theater. Participants will learn audition techniques, acting, movement, and music in a fun, engaging setting—no preparation needed! Attendance is required to be considered for casting, but participating in the workshop does not commit you to the full production.

Once cast, performers will begin a comprehensive theater education experience that includes:
Acting, Singing, and Dance Training – 8 weeks of performance skills in a structured rehearsal setting
Professional-Quality Production – Perform in a fully staged show with sets, costumes, and lighting
Supportive & Educational Environment – Learn in a fun, engaging atmosphere led by experienced theater educators
Bonus Perks – Tuition also includes a show t-shirt.
Rehearsal Dates: Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. September 6th – October 18th, 2025
Tech Rehearsals: October 21, 22, & 23, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
