At Phoenix Performing Arts, we believe in nurturing the next generation of theatrical talent! Our classes and workshops are specially designed to ignite passion, creativity, and confidence in young performers. While we currently don’t have active classes available for registration, our dedicated team is busy curating a lineup of exciting, skill-enhancing sessions that will cater to budding actors, singers, dancers, and theater enthusiasts. Ages 7–12
Designed for young performers who love to move, this class builds foundational dance skills used in musical theater. Students will work on basic jazz and musical theater technique, coordination, rhythm, and musicality. Emphasis is placed on body awareness, following choreography, and moving with confidence while telling a story through dance. This class is a great fit for students preparing for future musical theater productions or looking to strengthen their dance skills.
Ages 13-18
This class is designed for performers who want to deepen their dance training for musical theater. Students will focus on advanced technique, performance quality, stamina, and stylistic versatility commonly required in auditions and productions. Choreography will be more complex and fast-paced, with an emphasis on storytelling, precision, and professionalism. Students will learn dance combinations set to a variety of Broadway songs spanning multiple styles and genres. Prior dance or musical theater experience is strongly recommended.
Ages 7–12
This class is a welcoming introduction to the basics of acting for young performers. Students will explore creative play, character building, simple scripts, and improvisation through age-appropriate games and activities. The focus is on building confidence, listening skills, and imagination in a supportive and fun environment. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to try something new and have fun on stage.
Ages 13-18
This high-energy class focuses on strengthening acting skills through scene work, character development, and improvisation. Students will learn to think on their feet, make bold choices, and collaborate with others while building confidence onstage. Improvisation exercises help sharpen focus, listening skills, and creativity, while scripted work reinforces technique and emotional honesty.
