Tech Camp Intensive
Go behind the curtain. This summer, teens with a passion for the technical side of theater get hands-on experience across every discipline that brings a production to life.
Register NowEvery great production depends on the team you never see. The Hadestown Tech Camp Intensive gives teens ages 13 to 18 a real, working experience inside a full musical production. Campers will rotate through multiple technical disciplines, work alongside industry professionals, and take on real crew roles for Phoenix's Hadestown performances.
This is not an observation program. Tech campers are an essential part of the production and are expected to bring the same commitment and professionalism as any member of the cast.
Cueing, programming, and operating stage lighting systems.
Mixing, mic placement, and live audio operation for musical theater.
Construction, painting, and working with scenic elements.
Calling cues, running rehearsals, and keeping the production on track.
Construction, alterations, quick-change management, and wardrobe running.
Working professionals from across theater disciplines will join us throughout the program.
Tech rehearsals and all performances are mandatory for enrolled campers

July 20 through 24, 2026
Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Week 2
July 27 through 31, 2026
Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Tech Runs
August 3 and August 5, 2026
5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

All tech campers are required crew for every performance.

Throughout the program, we will be bringing in working professionals from across the theater industry to share their expertise, lead workshops, and give campers a real look at careers in technical theater. More details to come as guests are confirmed.
