Help capture the glamour of the Roaring 20s and all the iconic moments of this beloved American classic The Great Gatsby – Teen Production (Ages 14–18) Auditions: February 25, 2026 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Location: 263 E Mill St, Akron, OH 44308 Call backs will be held February 27th at 5:00 PM if needed. A self-made millionaire, Jay Gatsby’s desire for wealth, popularity, and power in the Jazz Age hides a deeper passion: his love for Daisy, the woman he met and fell for years ago, but who has since married wealthy, hulking browbeater Tom Buchanan. When Daisy’s cousin, Nick Carraway, happens to become Gatsby’s unwitting neighbor, he soon finds himself to be a liaison between Gatsby and Daisy. With the watchful eyes of Dr. Eckleburg’s deteriorating billboard looming overhead, Nick narrates this tragic story of thwarted love, exposing how wealth, materialism, and decaying moral values corrupted the American dream amidst the opulence and dance parties of the 1920s. At auditions, students will: Read selected scenes from the script. Selections will be emailed prior to your audition. Rehearsals begin March 4, 2026 and will be held: Wednesdays from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturdays from 12 PM – 2:00
